In my professional career, I taught American Indian children and adults for ten years. Then, as an Education Specialist and Instructional Systems Specialist for the US Army over twenty years, I taught trainers and training developers to do their jobs effectively.
Since my retirement from federal service, I have continued my teaching on a part-time basis. I am registered as an independent contract trainer with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR). CCR is the primary contractor registrant database for the U.S. Federal Government. As such I have 
given a number of computer skills workshops for the US Army.
I have also taught several six-week computer courses for the Charlotte County Cultural Center, Port Charlotte, Florida; Many individual computer classes for computer clubs around Punta Gorda, Florida; and a series of computer classes for the Activity Center, Llano Grande RV Resort & Country Club.
In addition, I have presented numerous classes to individuals and businesses within Hardin County, Kentucky.
Training Location: I train at your site. You provide the Conference room, training area or computer lab with suitable multimedia capabilities. I provide the trainer and all training materials. Training offered includes:
Computer Based Workshops: This is a hands-on, one-day (6.5 hours) workshop covering a program or suite of software. It is geared to your company or institution’s specific software and work requirements. It is best presented in your computer lab with students or employees who will be using the presented software on-the-job immediately after the training. Class size depends upon your computer lab, up to a maximum of 15 students. Each student must have an assigned computer. Based upon your requirements, I provide each student with handouts and an exercise/template CD prepared specifically for your situation.
Cost: $950.00 per session. Written contract and a minimum of 30 days lead time required. If training site is over 50 miles from Elizabethtown, KY, negotiated Per Diem required.
Group Oriented Formal Classes: This is a one to two hour formal class with a set goal and syllabus. It is best presented to a group of no more than 25 students. Each student should have (but not required) a computer and similar, if not identical software. There is less individual guidance during this type of class. I provide a peinted student handout with course syllabus.
Cost: $75.00 per training hour and 50.00 travel within 25 miles of Elizabethtown, KY. This training is usually coordinated via Email.
Luncheon Presentations: This is a ½ to 1 hour presentation.
Cost: Depends upon format, size of group, and travel involved. Locally, the charge is usually $75.00.
Individual Training: This is a one-on-one training based upon your specific needs. It is highly individualized and you control the depth, focus, and duration. It is best presented at your computer while you are focused upon a specific task or tasks. Up to two extra persons may attend so long as they have their own computers and can sit in close proximity of each other. Additional students are not recommended due to the intense personalization of the training.
Cost: $49.50 per training hour and 25.00 travel within 25 miles of Elizabethtown, KY. This training is usually coordinated via telephone or Email.
Extended Individual or Group Training: Occasionally an individual or group will begin a major project for which they need ongoing guidance. Here I present training at various stages of the project and provide ongoing telephone support on an “as needed” basis. One customer recently used this approach on a family tree project for her family. The result was a true heirloom for her children and grandchildren.
Cost: $49.50 - 75.00 per training hour (rate depends upon the complexity and duration of the project) and $25.00 travel (per trip) within 25 miles of Elizabethtown, KY. This training is usually coordinated via telephone or Email.
